Overview
A bilingual (Italian/English) portfolio for software projects and photography, built with Next.js and deployed on Cloudflare Workers.
Architecture
- Public site — Next.js on Workers, with no direct database access: it reads published content through a separate, read-only Worker over RPC.
- Admin — protected by Cloudflare Access, with server-side JWT verification. Projects, albums, photos, technologies and the About page are managed from here.
- Data — Cloudflare D1 with Drizzle ORM and versioned migrations; original photos in a private R2 bucket, resized variants generated once and served from the site's own domain.
Privacy and performance
- No third-party requests, no non-technical cookies, no trackers; EXIF location data is stripped on upload.
- Page cache invalidated by a content version maintained by SQL triggers.
- Built within the Workers Free plan limits (bundle size, CPU time).
